The Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (TACC) has served the automotive industry in Tasmania since 1928.

There had always been a long standing and mutually supportive relationship between TACC and the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC).

TACC successfully lobbied state government on behalf of members for many years, but times were changing and in 1999 TACC and VACC were amalgamated. This merger offered members a more diverse range of services, while still maintaining a Tasmanian perspective on local issues.

Today we are dedicated to the promotion, representation and preservation of member businesses to local, state and federal governments, as well as the media, consumers and the community.

TACC news

Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (TACC) members who trade as Licensed Motor Vehicle Traders (LMVT) are advised of a change to the Motor Vehicles Traders Regulations 2022 (Tas) (the Regulations ) that will see a change in the prescribed details current required on the Used Motor Vehicle Pre-Sale Disclosure Statement (the Statement).

Considering recent data breaches here in Australia, cyber security incidents can affect any business, at any time. With the average cyber security incident costing over $39,000 for small businesses, organisations cannot afford to overlook investing in their cyber security.

This year, TACC will close during the Christmas/New Year period from 5pm, Friday 23 December 2022 until Friday 6 January 2023 inclusive. This is traditionally a quiet time as many members have their annual close-down at this time.
