The Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (TACC) has served the automotive industry in Tasmania since 1928.

There had always been a long standing and mutually supportive relationship between TACC and the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC).

TACC successfully lobbied state government on behalf of members for many years, but times were changing and in 1999 TACC and VACC were amalgamated. This merger offered members a more diverse range of services, while still maintaining a Tasmanian perspective on local issues.

Today we are dedicated to the promotion, representation and preservation of member businesses to local, state and federal governments, as well as the media, consumers and the community.

2024 TAIPEI AMPA: a glimpse into the future

20 MARCH 2024

One of Asia’s most important automotive trade shows – TAIPEI AMPA, AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI and 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan combined – starts soon.

With the theme this year of 'Re-shaping the Automotive Industry', the annual trade event presents a comprehensive range of exhibitors from passenger vehicle and motorcycle aftermarket parts, automotive electronics, hardware, software, and electric and autonomous vehicles suppliers.

Taking place between 17-20 April in Taiwan’s capital, Taipei, the 2024 TAIPEI AMPA concentrates on the latest automotive ecosystem developments, including a glimpse into the future.

Featuring over 1,000 exhibitors in 2,700 booths, TAIPEI AMPA showcases automobile and motorcycle parts and accessories, as well as promoting Taiwan’s capability to produce parts for the globe’s vehicle requirements.

Focus areas include:

  • Parts and components
  • Automotive lighting
  • Customising and accessories
  • Diagnostics and maintenance
  • Car care
  • Motorcycle parts and accessories
  • Automotive safety equipment and systems
  • Alternative fuel vehicles and solutions.

TAIPEI AMPA sits alongside AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI and 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan, presenting the entire industry's present and future all in one place. Besides product exhibits, forums, seminars, and startup activities will also take place across all days.

While the global automotive industry experienced a dip in production during COVID, Taiwan saw an enormous increase in exports based on its ability to customise OEM and aftermarket auto parts, and this continues today.

This increase coincides with a rise in demand for vehicles and related products. TAIPEI AMPA has expanded its exhibits, from gas to electric vehicle parts, to accommodate this trend.

The automotive world knows Taiwan for its high-quality custom manufacturing and OEM automotive aftermarket parts. Less well known, but just as important, is its R&D capability, with Taiwanese companies supplying companies like Tesla, Rivian, Lucid and Fisker.

To focus on trends of CASE (Connectivity, Autonomous, Shared and Electrified), the 2024 TAIPEI AMPA, AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI and 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan shows will display the future of the automotive industry’s transformation.

Taipei AMPA 2024 takes place on 17-20 April at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 1, Taipei, Taiwan.
