Sale of the century
14 March 2018
Long-time VACC members D’Alberto Motors Group are closing their Holden and Nissan dealerships and moving on to concentrate on other opportunities. Of interest to classic car fans – and Holden tragics in particular – is that they will be auctioning some of their prized private collection of cars, along with items from their dealerships.
It’s going to be big. Consequently, the auction will be a four-day event over two locations (Echuca in Victoria and Deniliquin in NSW) and is expected to attract over 3,000 people. The auction is being run by Burns & Co between 12-15 April, starting at 9am each day. There are approximately 2,000 lots to be sold, fully unreserved, including a significant collection of workshop equipment, signage and spare parts. Inspections and registration takes place from Wednesday, 11 April. See here for more detail on this very significant sale.
