Heavy vehicle rest area initiative

Australian heavy vehicle industry representatives and truck drivers are encouraged to have their say into how and where $140 million in Federal Government funding will be spent over the next 10 years as part of the Heavy Vehicle Rest Area Initiative.

The information provided by the road transport industry and long-haul truck drivers is designed to provide input on the location and condition of existing rest areas and to provide advice on where additional sites may be required.
