A roaring success! 2023 President's Grand Prix™ Supper

3 April 2023

Anthony 'Lehmo' Lehmann, VACC President Chris Hummer and Larry Perkins pose with the F1 trophy.

The 2023 President's Grand Prix™ Supper was a hit, with automotive dignitaries, VACC directors and members hitting the track at the FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2023.

Held at the Chicane Pavilion Lower on the world-revered Albert Park Circuit, co-host of Cool Cars with Dermott and Elise and motoring journalist Elise Elliott acted as master of ceremonies.

It was an evening of networking and fun, but VACC President Chris Hummer also took the opportunity to impress upon the politicians, regulators, and industry representatives in the room that VACC is the automotive industry – and an ally, here to offer insights and inform the policy that will help keep Australia moving.

Over supper, attendees were treated to a live recording of THE GRILLE podcast. During the show, THE GRILLE crew – Greg Rust and VACC CEO Geoff Gwilym – were joined by Aussie motorsport legend Larry Perkins, comedian Lehmo and motor racing authority Neil Crompton.

As THE GRILLE episode wrapped, the 2023 Formula 1 trophy made an appearance, much to the delight of attendees. The Larry Perkins trophy was also on display, the striking piece to be awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points in the Supercars races over the Grand Prix weekend.

THE GRILLE fans can relive the action on Friday 7 April when the latest episode is released across all major podcast platforms. To rate and subscribe, visit THE GRILLE.
