'Cool Cars' filming kicks off

'Cool Cars with Dermott and Elise' filming has kicked off at Bendigo Mazda and Geelong Harley-Davidson.

Elise Elliott hit the road in a Mazda MX-5 to visit Bendigo Mazda and talk automotive careers with Dealer Principal, Richard Opie and VACC Automotive Apprenticeships’ third-year apprentice, Dion Symons.

Next up was Dermott Brereton getting a taste of two-wheeler life at member-business Geelong Harley-Davidson. Arriving in a Holden HQ SS, Dermott was quick to jump out and explore the magnificent bikes on site. Manager Mick Webb and first-year mature-aged apprentice, Shylo Webster joined him and discussed the exciting and varied career pathways out there for people who have the automotive bug.

'Cool Cars with Dermott and Elise' is a brand-new TV show set for release in 2023. Hosted by Dermott Brereton and Elise Elliott, the duo will check out the coolest cars and bikes around, and drive by eight Chamber businesses across Victoria and Tasmania, sitting down with owners and their apprentices to talk all things automotive, focusing particularly on skills and jobs.
