Tassie advocacy win

As a matter of public interest, Elise Archer MP has formally requested the development and mandatory implementation of a code of practice specifically for the Tasmanian motor vehicle insurance and body repair industry.  

The result of advocacy work driven by TACC Executive Committee member Kate Presnell of Kate Presnell Bodyworks, this is a historic moment for the repair and insurer industry in Tasmania. It will pave the way for fairer engagement between businesses and insurers.  

In a bulletin to members, Chamber Industry Policy Advisor Kathy Zdravevski and State Manager Bruce McIntosh stated TACC will engage with the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other stakeholders to ensure the code is exclusive and representative of the Tasmanian industry requirements to ensure fairer competition.
