THE GRILLE

24 June 2022

Always on the lookout for new ways to communicate, VACC – the Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce’s Victorian counterpart – launched a podcast. It’s called THE GRILLE, and it’s not just any old podcast.

Jeremy Clarkson, Daniel Ricciardo, Molly Taylor and Grant Denyer have all dropped by for a chat.

Each episode takes a deep dive into the automotive world with news and views, industry chat and analysis, a special guest interview, and plenty of laughs along the way. It is a great initiative that goes way beyond just raising the profile of automotive, it is the perfect balance of ‘informative’ and ‘entertainment’ that appeals to motorists and industry figures alike.

LiSTNR – the name behind many Aussie podcasts – is handling production, while respected auto journalist Greg Rust and motoring enthusiast Shane Jacobson (our Chamber ambassador and devout Targa Tasmania car rally fan) join VACC CEO, Geoff Gwilym in the hosting seats.

My favourite? The first episode still tops the list.

The crew chats to Jeremy Clarkson about his favourite Aussie muscle cars, the loss of our local car manufacturing industry, the antics he and Jacobson got up to on the road, and what the ‘primary producer’ is up to next.

It says volumes for the quality of the show that someone of Jeremy Clarkson’s calibre wants to be involved.

You can listen to THE GRILLE for free now. New episodes drop each month.

Search THE GRILLE on your favourite podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and LiSTNR and make sure you subscribe and review. You’re in for a treat, trust me.
