Bulletin
Licensed Motor Car Traders

Reference No. LMCT 04-17

Date issued 04/12/2017

New motor vehicle duty information webpage for LMCTs.
Members would be aware that VACC regularly meets with the State Revenue Office (SRO) to discuss issues directly related to Licensed Motor Car Trader (LMCT) application ,collection and payment of Motor Vehicle Duty as legislated via the Duties Act 2000 (the Act).

VACC has consulted with the SRO in the lead up to the release of an updated webpage within the SRO website that contains a range of information specific to LMCT responsibilities when dealing in vehicles where the provisions of the Act will apply. The webpage also goes some way to reinforcing that those responsibilities include the LMCT declaring where a vehicle has had a change in use.

The webpage is a good source of information that will be updated regularly by the SRO. VACC LMCT members are encouraged to review this webpage and provide feedback to mmckenna@vacc.com.au
