Tasmania's best automotive businesses announced

27 May, 2017

Thirteen Tasmanian automotive businesses have been honoured in the 2017 TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards.

The Tasmanian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (TACC) instituted the awards in 2005 in recognition of the many excellent automotive businesses in Tasmania offering exceptional commitment to customers, staff, training, and their local communities.

TACC General Manager, Malcolm Little said that the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards clearly demonstrate TACC members’ dedication to quality.

“Winners of the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards really are the best in the Tasmanian automotive industry,” Mr Little said.

Categories for the 2017 TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards include mechanical repair, under body repair, body repair, auto glass, auto electrical, motorcycle dealers, new and used-car dealers, towing operators, and tyre dealers.

“TACC was overwhelmed by the number of entries received from all over the state this year. Judging these entrants and narrowing down the field to the finalists, and then deciding on the eventual winners, was an exacting job,” Mr Little said.

Judging was based on customer service, professional development, industry improvement, and environmental and occupational health and safety, to ensure that only the best of the best of TACC’s members would be announced as the overall category winners.

“TACC recommends the winning businesses to local motorists. When seeking high quality expertise and excellent customer service, look no further than your local TACC member.”

Category winners were announced at a gala evening on Saturday, 27 May at Wrest Point Casino, Hobart.
