VACC dealers work with Treasurer to make a difference

25 September 2018

Automobile dealers are advised that on 24 September the Victorian State Government formally announced that the Victorian State Revenue Office (SRO) Disclosure has been extended until 31 December 2018.

The Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) thanks the Victorian Treasurer’s Office for listening to industry. VACC and the Victoria Automobile Dealers Association (VADA) now look forward to future collaborations with the Treasurer’s Office, SRO and the Department of Finance and Treasury in pursuit of a modernisation of Chapter 9 of the Victorian Duties Act 2000.

VACC thanks those new-car dealers who banded together and helped influence this outcome. A special note of thanks goes to the VADA Executive Committee.

It’s a great outcome, but there is still work to be done. Read the State Revenue Office Victoria announcement.
