Auto workplace health and safety just got a little easier

12 March 2020

Health and safety can be complex, high risk and costly for automotive business owners, who are constantly faced with changing laws and conditions that make workplace management a challenge.

The Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) – which has a long history of automotive workplace health and safety expertise – has therefore launched a new national product to help make business operations easier: Auto Workplace Assist.

“Auto Workplace Assist is a convenient go-to solution for supporting business owners across Australia with their automotive workplace compliance, knowledge and awareness needs,” said VACC CEO, Geoff Gwilym.

Auto Workplace Assist makes it easier for automotive business owners and managers look after their health and safety obligations by offering industry-specific products, so that they can concentrate on what they do best: running successful automotive businesses.

“Auto Workplace Assist’s industry-specific products are backed by automotive experienced health and safety specialists, who understand automotive workplace challenges. This is what separates Auto Workplace Assist from other off-the-shelf products,” said Mr Gwilym.

With workplace health and safety laws tightening all the time – for example Victoria’s new Workplace Manslaughter laws that are due to take effect by 1 July this year – now is a very good time to check and ensure compliance.

“Auto Workplace Assist guides business owners and managers through the complexities of managing their health and safety requirements in order to help keep their workplaces compliant,” said Mr Gwilym.
