Successful Shepparton member briefing evening

22 September 2023

On 21 September 2023, VACC held another successful regional member briefing in Shepparton at the exceptional Museum Of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE).

VACC IPA John Khoury provided members an overview on how the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Scheme is creating headwinds within the Australian automotive repair industry. John also touched on the Unfair Contract Term reforms due to come in later this year which will provide businesses much-needed protection.

VACC along with the Motor Trades Association has developed a comprehensive automotive industry guide to help members identify any potential unfair contract terms in existing and future contracts with suppliers and service providers. Get your copy by taking this link: https://www.mtaa.com.au/

Also present was Rodger Nardi from the Australian Automotive Service and Repair Authority (AASRA) who gave an informative presentation on AASRA’s services, and Darren Todd from Bosch who spoke about pass-thru technology and electric vehicle technology.

All up, an incredibly positive night. VACC looks forward to continuing regional member briefings throughout 2024.
