Sole Trader Support Fund extended

The application period for the Victorian Government’s Sole Trader Support Fund has been extended to 30 December 2020.

The extension will support more sole trader businesses in specific industries with their transition to COVID Normal, with grants of $3,000 available to assist with overhead costs and utilities. 

To be eligible, a business must:

  • Operate within Victoria
  • Be a sole trader with no employees
  • Operate from a commercial premises or location (residential premises are not eligible) for at least six months
  • Be registered as operating in an industry sector that has an industry restriction level of Restricted, Heavily restricted or Closed and is not easing industry restriction levels between the First Step and Second Step of Victoria’s roadmap for reopening
  • Be an eligible business participant in the JobKeeper Payment scheme
  • Be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 14 September 2020
  • Hold an ABN registered in the business category of ‘individual’ and have held that ABN at 14 September 2020.
