Free member night at Bosch

27 JUNE 2023

Members can hear the latest technical news from industry experts and enjoy refreshments, all while networking with peers at the amazing Bosch facility in Clayton.

Presenters:

John Khoury, Industry Policy Advisor, VACC, will present on the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme, what’s included in the legislation, the opportunities for industry, and where to next. He will also highlight the importance of following OEM repair procedure.

Rodger Nardi, Executive Director, AASRA, will showcase the Australian Automotive Service and Repair Authority platform, its services and latest developments.

Darren Todd, Senior Technical Trainer, Bosch, will share the latest on pass-thru programming. An ever-increasing number of vehicle issues can only be fixed by upgrading software. Manufacturer’s updates are released to improve emissions, fuel economy, drivability, performance or for specific warranty issues. The J2534 ‘Pass-Thru’ programming standard gives general workshops the ability to reprogram ECUs without the need for a special dealer-only tool. There will also be a presentation on the Bosch car service network.

Chris Angrakian, Managing Director, Managed Services, will discuss Cyber Security Protection for small business. In 2022, cyber-attacks cost Australian businesses an average of $276,323 per attack, with small businesses being the most vulnerable. Already in 2023, we have witnessed large multinational companies who have fallen prey to this criminal activity. Be sure to take advantage of this free session and learn how to protect your business from potential data breaches.

Trade exhibits will also be on display, plus free giveaways. Don't miss it.
