VACC’s new affiliate

29 August 2024

In a move set to bring fresh products and innovative solutions to our members, VACC is thrilled to welcome BASF, a global leader in chemical manufacturing, as our newest affiliate.

This collaboration marks an exciting chapter for both organisations, promising to deliver enhanced value and cutting-edge expertise to the Victorian automotive sector.
Recently, VACC CEO Geoff Gwilym, Industry Policy Advisor Kathy Zdravevski, along with other VACC staff, came together for a series of meetings between VACC and BASF.

Originating out of Germany, BASF employs over 112,000 staff globally, including 370 staff in Australia, across the Agriculture, Manufacturing, Mining and Coatings segments. Sustainability is a key focus for the organisation, with its Glasurit product, and is recognised for its sustainability as one of the most trusted coating brands in the market.

Mr Gwilym said, 'This relationship has been a long time coming, as VACC chooses carefully, as to which organisations, it works with'. Mr Khosa mentioned, 'BASF was looking to connect with an association to share their strengths with and help the industry grow'.

BASF has already commenced supporting VACC, by proudly sponsoring the 'Outstanding 1st Year Apprentice Award' at the 2024 Automotive Industry Awards in June this year.
BASF will be associated with more events and activities in 2024/2025, which will benefit VACC members and their staff.

Please keep an eye out for further announcements.
