Victorian Licensed Motor Car Traders (LMCTs) have a new essential tool - the VicRoads Vehicle Report (VVR).
LMCT members can now access detailed vehicle valuation guides, condition reports, specifications, odometer readings at transfer, and other vital information to support informed used vehicle purchasing decisions.
About the VicRoads Vehicle Report
The VicRoads report provides registration history for cars, motorcycles, trucks, and trailers transferred in Victoria. The comprehensive data helps identify issues like odometer discrepancies that LMCT members have already begun uncovering on trade-in vehicles using the consumer version of the report.
Special introductory dealer pricing
VicRoads offers all dealers an introductory price of $3.87 (including GST and card fees) per report until 30 November 2024.
Accessing the dealer report
To access the VVR at the discounted dealer rate, LMCT members must sign a Master Services Agreement with VicRoads. Contact the VicRoads Sales Team at cpsales@vicroads.com.au to start this process and receive the agreement.
The basic Vehicle Registration Enquiry (VRE) service confirming registration status will remain free on the VicRoads and Service Victoria websites.
A win for the industry
VACC thanks VicRoads and the Department of Transport for delivering this long-lobbied-for vehicle report tool. Access to vehicle transfer data provided by LMCT members is a significant win that will empower better buying decisions for traders and consumers. VACC looks forward to further innovations from VicRoads that assist the LMCT industry.
