Digital driver licence information sessions

17 April 2024

The Victorian government has announced a series of six online "Business and Industry Information Sessions" in late April and early May to assist organisations in understanding what the digital licence means for them and how to get ready.

Businesses are encouraged to register for one of the free 30-minute virtual sessions on the following dates: To register, click on the date below and follow the registration instructions.

The information sessions will cover key topics to help businesses verify customers' age and identity using the new digital licence, including:

  • How to access a Victorian digital driver's licence
  • Methods for businesses to verify the digital licence
  • Security features embedded in the digital licence
  • Other resources to support staff training

Each session will allow time for attendees to have their questions answered by subject matter experts.

"With the statewide digital licence rollout next month, we want to ensure businesses like bars, restaurants, retailers and more understand the new technology and feel prepared," said John Smith, Commissioner of VicRoads.
