The Albanese Government has introduced proposed industrial relations changes into federal Parliament. The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023 proposes major changes to the Fair Work Act, including:
· casual employment
· compliance with and enforcement of the Act
· union delegate rights
· labour hire (‘Same Job, Same Pay’)
· ‘employee-like’ independent contracting arrangements.
