The Victorian Government has launched the $500 million Business Support Fund in order to support small businesses during the Coronavirus situation.
The Fund is part of the Victorian Government’s $1.7 billion Economic Survival Package and small businesses are eligible for $10,000 grants, to be used to assist with business costs including utilities, salaries, rent, as well as financial and legal business advice.
Eligibility
According to Business Victoria, to be eligible to apply businesses must:
- Have been subject to closure or highly impacted by the Coronavirus; and
- Employ staff; and
- Have a turnover of more than $75,000; and
- Have payroll of less than $650,000; and
- Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and held that ABN at 16 March 2020; and
- Be engaged in business in Victoria (and operating at 16 March 2020).
