Coronavirus: Watch out for scams

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is warning business owners to be on the lookout for illegal scams during the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Since January – when COVID-19 first became news in Australia – the ACCC has received around 100 scam reports. And this will climb.

Business owners should be especially wary of unsolicited emails from financial institutions offering loans, or with requests for personal information.
