VACC House sold

20 April 2018

VACC's headquarters for 60 years has been sold. The seven-storey building (plus basement car park) was built in two stages, with the first three floors being opened by Victorian Premier, Sir Henry Bolte in 1958. Now no longer fit for purpose, VACC House on St Kilda Road was sold in April to Abacus Property Group and Singapore’s Wing Tai Holdings for $95.38 million. The excellent result will allow VACC to relocate to a CBD fringe location and invest the savings into the Special Capital Fund.

The additional capital will enable VACC to continue funding the research and policy development that have proved so influential over its first 100 years, while ensuring members continue to receive the same cost-effective services and products from their Chamber for another century.
