If you own an automotive franchise we need to hear from you

9 April 2018

On 22 March 2018, the Senate referred an Inquiry into the Operation and Effectiveness of the Franchising Code of Conduct.

As part of VACC’s evidence-based response to the Senate Committee, we want to hear your stories. We are seeking input from all automotive related franchisees, VACC members and non-members, from all corners of Australia.

VACC has long been advocating that the automotive industry have its own, automotive specific, Code of Conduct. The current Franchise Code has revealed itself to be inadequate when applied to an automotive context, necessitating a change. Now is our collective opportunity to make a difference.

Do you operate a franchise in any of the following areas? If so, we want to hear from you!

  • New car dealer
  • Rental
  • Tyres
  • Service station
  • Product supplies
  • Motor cycles
  • Farm machinery
  • Power equipment
  • Workshops/body repair

Please contact either Michael McKenna OR Imogen Reid at VACC or call (03) 9829 1111 to discuss how you can contribute and have your voice heard. Submissions close 4 May 2018.
