FIMDA members attend TOWARDS 2030

Chamber Industry Policy Advisor Michael McKenna caught up with VACC Farm and Industrial Machinery Dealer Association (FIMDA) executive committee members Sue Kerr (Rhys Evans Farm Machinery), and Vince Carbone and Peter Blair (Traction Ag, Horsham) at the 2022 Tractor and Machinery Association of Australia Annual Conference.
 
TOWARDS 2030 was the theme, and many FIMDA members were in attendance. Mixing business with pleasure, they were keen for an update on the Chamber's bid to have farm machinery dealers included in the full suite of franchising reforms that came into play in 2021. Additionally, whether the Australian Government will amend Instant Asset Write-Off criteria to allow consumers the full expensed tax break for farm machinery ordered/contracted before June 30 2022 (delivered after the June 30 2023 delivery deadline).
