Webinar: MVIS update with Donny Seyfer

The Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Scheme (the Scheme) will be implemented from 1 July 2022 and spearheading the roll-out is US National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Executive Director, Mr Donny Seyfer.

In order to keep automotive business owners informed and up-to-date with initiative developments, Mr Seyfer is giving an online presentation to Motor Trades Association of Australia (MTAA) member-businesses – including those from VACC and TACC. The session will centre around portal progress and usability, and Mr Seyfer will also take part in a Q&A session.

The Government has appointed the Australian Automotive Service and Repair Authority (AASRA) as the Scheme Adviser. Responsibilities include supporting the Scheme, facilitating portal access and streamlining credential checks – amoung other obligations. AASRA is a not-for-profit entity made up of MTAA, Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association and Australian Automotive Dealer Association representatives. AASRA has commissioned the United States NASTF to assist in the design, development and implementation of an online web portal to streamline processes, check obligations, access support and security data, and other related requirements.
