Coronavirus: ACCC advice

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has created a go-to COVID-19 web page, dedicated to providing business owners the latest information on rights and obligations in response to COVID-19 events. The web page will be updated regularly in response to new guidance on managing cancellations, delays and suspension of products and services.

VACC recommends members follow ACCC advice and contact customers (if possible) and tell them about the steps their business is taking to handle the COVID-19 situation. In doing so, it's important that business owners are mindful of their obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
