VACC Auto Apprenticeship program can help your automotive business to find a prospective candidate that suits your automotive business. We take the worry out of finding an apprentice. VACC conduct full interviews for new applicants, oversee medical assessments and conduct a 1−2 day induction course which is held at our offices in Melbourne prior to an applicant commencing their apprenticeship.

If your automotive business finds the perfect trainee/ apprentice through the VACC program, we look after the following aspects of the apprentice’s training;

  • Cost of recruitment
  • All entitlements including annual leave/ leave loading/ public holidays/ sick leave and superannuation
  • Other items that VACC support your business with are school fees and tool kits for each student.

As the host employer, your obligations are very simple;

  • Provide a safe working environment
  • Provide an environment that is conducive to the development of the apprentice
  • Ensure there is relevant on the job training
  • Ensure the apprentice attends all off− the−job training.

To support you and your apprentice we also have qualified field officers that visit your business regularly to ensure you and your apprentice are doing well. Our apprenticeship programs allow you, as a business owner to grow your business and ensure you have the time to train an apprentice correctly whilst VACC will take care of the rest.
