There should be a goal towards the development of a best practice workers’ compensation framework that provides support for both the employer and the employee while not impacting the business financially.
- For members that have a consistent record of providing a safe working environment, there should be discounts on insurance premiums for such members.
- There should be an internal review process/ombudsman for poor decisions made by workers compensation insurance agents.
- Employers affected by poor decisions made by workers compensation insurance agents should be reimbursed and/or have their insurance premiums reduced.
- Red tape associated with workers compensation should be reduced.
